What should I do if I notice a lump, cyst or lump in my breast?

Breast health is important for all women, but for some it can be a scary experience. Many women experience fear after having a mammogram or discovering a lump, cyst, or tumor in their breast. But I’m here to help by offering three things that I think will be very beneficial in the next step: Restoring breast health.

What does breast health mean? What should I do if I find a lump in my breast?

Breast health is important because misdiagnosed or ignored symptoms can lead to major medical problems, the most serious of which is breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in American women after skin cancer.

A woman’s lifetime risk of getting breast cancer is 1 in 8, and her lifetime risk of dying from breast cancer is 1 in 38. (1) On the other hand, this risk can be reduced by early detection and treatment. Therefore, it is important that you understand your body and take precautions.

3 Tips for Dealing with Breast Tumors, Cysts or Lumps

 1. Take a deep breath and feel a lump in your chest.

Getting diagnosed with a lump, cyst, or lump can be scary, but it’s important to take deep breaths and stay calm. Because the cells in the breast are constantly rotating and changing, there are many explanations for what is happening in the body. It may benefit the health of surrounding cells, even cancer cells.

 2. Don’t cancel your appointment because of a breast lump.

My second advice is that if you have a lump, cyst or lump in your breast, do not delay an appointment or diagnostic test. Many existing technologies, such as thermal imaging, can help us determine what is happening at the molecular level in the body.

Thermography is a non-invasive technique that uses a specific camera to measure the surface temperature of the breast. This can help detect cancer cells because they grow faster and increase blood flow, which increases skin temperature. (3) This is important because the sooner you notice and define the problem, the sooner you can choose the best next steps.

 3. Pay attention to your current health condition

Another thing to remember is to be grateful for your current health. It’s important to focus on what’s happening in your life, rather than “what ifs” or made-up situations. This thinking can aid the healing process by reducing stress hormones.

The combination of these three steps can have a significant impact on your emotional and physical health as you deal with your diagnosis. Even if you don’t currently have a diagnosis, here are some other things you can do:

 Tips for Monitoring Breast Health

Tracking breast health is a great way to stay connected to your body. There are two ways to incorporate it into your daily life:

 test yourself

Regular self-examination can help you understand your body and detect any changes. Since normal changes occur regularly, it is important to self-examine during your menstrual cycle. It is very beneficial to have these tests done once a month to help you determine if further testing is needed.

 Take a mammogram

Women over 40 should have annual mammograms. This test is important because identifying suspected malignancy can be challenging, especially if the breast tissue is dense. Some women may be able to get a mammogram early in life, especially if they have a family history of breast cancer.
